Writings of Margaret Mountain Barbour Carruthers

Margaret Mountain Barbour Carruthers was my grandmother. Born Jan 12, 1882 in Prince Edward Island, and died Jan 28, 1979. She had a long and interesting life; living through all the upheavals of the early 20th century. She was in Boston for the last major smallpox outbreak in North America, and lived through the Spanish Flu while living on a farm in Saskatchewan.

These memoirs were written, for the most part, during the 1970s.

Jules Verne

JulesVerne

Jules Verne was a French author, and one of the pioneers of what is now known as Science Fiction. I was very unsatisfied with the public domain translations of one of his seminal works, The Children of Captain Grant, so I decided to make my own, which you can find here.

I have also created ePub eBooks of the other two volumes in Verne’s “Sea Trilogy”: Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas, and The Mysterious Island, which include the illustrations from the original French publications as well as my own maps of the voyage of the Nautilus, and Lincoln Island.
