I started this story partially in reaction to a lot of NC-17 stories that put Dawn into relationships with a whole lot of unsuitable people, such as Buffy, Giles, Spike and all the Slayerettes (individually, and in various combinations.) I figured Dawn should have a boyfriend her own age.

This story begins shortly after Him, in season seven, and goes AU after that.
